主讲人简介:孙海卫, 博士,博士后,澳门大学数学系教授,博士生导师。主要研究领域是数值代数和数值偏微分方程。2001至2004年期间分别在美国肯塔基州大学高性能计算实验室和亚拉巴马州大学化学工程系做博士后。2004年到澳门大学数学系工作。主持澳门自然科学基金项目多项,在SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing等期刊发表论文60多篇,其中50多篇被SCI收录。
讲座主要内容: In this talk, a fast memory-saving algorithm is firstly proposed for the variable-order (VO) Caputo fractional derivative based on a shifted binary block partition (SBBP) uniform polynomial approximations. The proposed method can be carried out with the cheaper computational cost less active memory. Then we develop a fast finite difference method, based on the SBBP technique, for solving a class of VO time-fractional diffusion equations. The complexity is of O(rmn log n), while the active storage requirement is of O(rmlog n), where r is the order of the approximated polynomial, n is the number to the time steps, m denotes the size of the spatial grids. Numerical results are given to demonstrate the excellent performance of the proposed method.
